A note from the author

Usually people ask me: what is this book? Why did you write it? Who is it for? The truth is, this book was for my sons and daughter — I wrote it to show them that no matter how big their dreams are, they should never stop dreaming.

Have you ever had a dream so big it didn't fit into one book? Me too. I dreamt of an entire universe — so unique, so colorful, I had to share it with the world. It is a story about found family, about craft and care, and about the kind of magic that comes from making things by hand — the same magic I hope my own kids carry with them.
